I’m Alex (he/him), an aspiring fantasy author working as a UX designer in Columbus, Ohio. I’ve always wanted to be writer, but I never made any hands-on-keyboard-butt-in-chair attempts until 2015, after the loss of a loved one kicked me into gear. Time is precious, folks. Write that novel while you can.

Though I have no formal writing education, my craft is informed by a blackhole appetite for reading, a designerly instinct from my undergrad days at (THE) Ohio State University, and an imposing watchlist of AuthorTube hits. My writing tends toward the bright spots of levity beneath all of life’s towering, tragic bullshit.

When I’m not eroding my eyesight with a lifelong screen addiction, I can be found DMing a tabletop RPG, losing at Magic: The Gathering, and learning to be a better ally to marginalized communities.
